Galleta (about 8 months old as of June, 2025) is a spayed female black with white spots shorthaired kitten. Galleta and her sisters were born to a stray cat in Grayslake who was picked up by animal control right around when they were weaned, leaving the kittens to fend for themselves when they were just barely old enough to survive without mama! Thankfully within about a week the girls were trapped and put into foster care but their harrowing ordeals left them much more weary than most kittens their age. With time and love Galleta grew out of her spicy kitten tantrums and is now a happy, playful housecat. Galleta is the most independent of her siblings- she is the most playful but the best at making her own fun carrying her toys around. She's also the most mild mannered, where her sisters can be a bit obnoxious Galleta likes to be respectful whether it's letting her feline friends finish their treats or her humans eat in peace. She's not the best at being held but likes to cuddle up next to people or sleep on top of her foster mom all night to make up for it. She'd be the perfect little sister to young to middle aged cat who would like some kitty cuddles, a little playtime, and would be okay letting her go wild on the laser pointer! She also gets along well with dogs, but the dogs they live with have not taught them respect, so she would need to live with a cat-experienced dog who won't be offended if a silly cat goes diving into their food dish. She doesn't have experience living with little kids but would probably have a lot of fun playing with older kids.
