The only boy of the family, he looks just like the tall, dapper tom cat that we suspect to be his father and is growing fast! Derby is a suiting name for this messy little guy that is always off to the races! He’s the first kitten in his litter to come running up to the people- sorry, Ma, he can’t resist tummy rubs! Expect lots of chaos with Derby but on the rare occasion he slows down for a massage he may reward you with the nicest little powerful purrs!
*These kittens, born approximately May 1st, showed up on the deck of two Spay and Stay board members at 3 and a half weeks old - what luck! Even luckier their mom got trapped the next day and is now helping raise them. They were so scared they just froze when approached and tried to play dead, so they are named after different species of opossums! After a few weeks in captivity they are loving growing up to be playful happy indoor kittens who love toys, cat trees, and climbing around in people’s laps getting pet and we have high hopes for their future as pets! They’ll be ready for adoption after their spay/neuters around the end of July or later.
