Mushroom

When caretakers spotted a wounded cat, they sought help from Spay and Stay and discovered he was TNR’d 11 years ago! With no former caretaker around, they stepped up, got him treatment, and helped him recover. Thanks to their kindness, Mushroom is thriving again!

Moose

Moose was found frozen and sick but thrived in his Spay and Stay foster home. A canceled adoption event led him to a caretaker who unknowingly had been helping his colony. Now a beloved indoor pet, Moose’s happy ending was made possible by our generous donors!

TNR Helps Feral Colony Stop Fighting!

Meet a special Round Lake Beach IL feral colony.  These battle-scarred feral cats were all vetted through Spay and Stay when their neighborhood worked together on the solution to end territorial fighting and endless kittens born outside.  Their efforts worked and the colony is thriving - and getting along!

Jimmy

Found with a broken leg, Jimmy slowly healed with care and love. In foster care, he met Gemini, who helped him learn to “cat.” Now fully recovered, they’re reunited in a forever home, safe and loved!

Gemini

Jimmy brought out the best in a scared kitten named Gemini, proving the power of a bonded pair. Their adopter’s patience gave both a chance at a loving home. Let their story inspire you to adopt—some cats have been waiting years for a family.

Onyx

This story shows the power of community. After completing our TNR program, Onyx was spotted with an injured eye.  A Spay and Stay volunteer trapped her, and thanks to her generous and watchful neighborhood, Onyx received the care she needed.  She recovered in foster care and was released back to her colony - healthy and thriving.

Oreo

Oreo’s story is one of love and determination. This community cat was trapped with her three kittens, but unknown to the caretaker, she had a fourth—Jello. After her vetting, Oreo escaped, only to return later, revealing an incredible act of motherly devotion. Watch the video to see this brave mama reunite with her hidden kitten!

Izzo

Izzo waited a long time for the right barn—one where she could be the only cat. As an Alpha, she didn’t get along with others and failed multiple placements. But one of our Spay and Stay caretakers stepped up, and it was the perfect match! Now she’s thriving, loved and living her best barn cat life.

Spay and Stay always needs barn homes. Can you help save a life?

Neptune

Neptune’s story highlights the challenges of kitten season, where many kittens suffer as their moms are left unspayed. Pregnant at just 5-7 months old (est.), she gave birth at 7-9 months, weighing only 5 lbs herself! Her situation, which is all too common, nearly cost her kittens’ lives. Spaying prevents such situations. With your generous donations, we can care for community cats like Neptune, allowing them to thrive without the burden of constant pregnancies. Neptune never has to worry about taking care of babies again and as a bonus, male cats will leave her alone since she will never go into heat again. #donationshelp #spayandstay #ifyoufeedthemfixthem #kittenseason #kittens #neonatalkittens #spayandneuter #tnr #tnrworks #Trapneuterreturn #colonycats #communitycat #blackcat
