May was caught in a Winthrop Harbor feral cat colony alongside her mom, her sisters, her mom's sisters and her kittens the same age! The kittens shared their mamas and grew up as one big happy family, learning to live among people. May was the designated "Mamas' girl" of the two litters and chose to hang back with their feral mama kitties more while her sisters and cousins wanted all the human attention. Thankfully May still managed to slowly warm up to people and now she enjoys gentle petting and calm play sessions with dangly and feathery toys. A bit of an old soul she's more quiet than other kittens her age and revels in exciting activities like curling up in potted plants. She gets along well with other cats but prefers to play very gently, so we think she might be a good little sister to a middle aged kitty that won't want to play too crazy. She's had indirect exposure to dogs and with a slow introduction would probably do well with a very calm, cat-experienced dog that will be gentle with her. She is not a good choice for families with small kids as she's just too sensitive to deal with a lot of excitement, rough play, or chaos.
