This list of local shelters can be used if you are looking for an animal to adopt, or if you have found a friendly stray cat or socialized kittens and are looking to place them. All shelters feature cats and dogs unless otherwise noted. Thanks to Save-A-Pet shelter for contributing to the local shelter list and sharing it with us!

If your pet needs to be spayed or neutered, there are several low-cost spay/neuter programs in our area. Also, Spay USA (spayusa.org) is a nationwide network with referral services for low-cost spay/neuter for pets.
