Here's the information you need

Looking for a way to humanely reduce the feral cat population in your neighborhood? Interested in changing the way your local government treats feral and stray cats? Follow the links below for helpful information.

Caretakers

Follow the Caretaker link to find the application you'll need to become a registered caretaker with Spay and Stay. Once you send the form back, you'll be able to take advantage of our programs. You will also be able to earn about health related issues regarding feral and stray cats and find out what it takes to be a good caretaker of your feral cat colony.

Volunteers

Spay and Stay is successful because so many people volunteer their time to help us carry out our mission. There are many ways you can help, no matter what your background. Here are just a few examples:

  • Assist at high-volume spay days
  • Man an informational booth at a community fair
  • Help other caretakers in your neighborhood trap and transport cats to spay day
  • Assist in educational outreach to schools and other community groups
  • Participate in the organization of fundraising events
  • Manage a trap depot
  • Assist in our office

Advocates

Alley Cat Allies has a wealth of information for caretakers and advocates of a humane solution for feral cat population control. They offer information on many subjects from legislation and TNR ordinances to fundraising tips and ways to socialize feral kittens. Visit their website for more details.

Police Departments and Local Municipal Authorities

Spay and Stay is available to hold town meetings in your city or village regarding Trap-Neuter-Return as a humane and effective method for feral and stray cat population control. Just send us an email and let us know you are interested. Be sure to include your name and telephone number, along with the town or village in which you'd like the meeting, and we will be in touch.
